Title: LED ON MERMAN MISSING FROM DOCUMENTATION?
Post by: krispyyc on March 28, 2020, 03:56:25 AM
This is my first build and I'm excited to get it started.

After looking at the BOM and the schematic I don't see an LED add into the Merman build.  Can someone set me straight on this.  Is the manual missing some content?  If not please give some directional guidance on what LED to get and a little assembly guidance.  Thanks team!

you mean the on/off indicator LED?
those are generally not on the main board, but included in the bypass (either done with a pcb or without). As this is a VFE project have a look at the switching board documentation, it should be there. there's also tutorials here:https://www.madbeanpedals.com/tutorials/index.html which include footswitch wiring and VFE builds.

The Merman is amazing, but honestly, as a first build, a VFE pedal can be quite challenging!
Take your time, read all the documents (bypass board included ;) ) and if you don't feel ready, maybe build a simple boost or simple overdrive first?
In any case, let us know how it goes!
Cheers!
