Title: freakout volume drop
Post by: Thewintersoldier on April 10, 2020, 09:01:39 PM
I built my freakout and it sounds like it should but there is a slight volume drop. Any way to raise it to unity?
I checked all my resistors and they are all right. Thanks, Chris

The audio path from input to output is actually a unity buffer. But, even "unity buffers" can have a very small volume drop. Most likely what you are hearing is a bit of signal loss from the Blend pot. The only thing to do here is maybe switch that from 25kB to 10kB. But, I don't think it will make a lot of difference.

I can understand it being part of the circuit. It's not massive and it's a cool effect so not a deal breaker
