Title: Tap Tempo that displays ms/bpm?
Post by: gordo on August 04, 2020, 01:49:55 PM
Does anyone make a PCB for a tap tempo box that displays either the time or the bpm?  I've seen some higher end pedals on the market but was wondering if anyone in the DIY world does anything like it.

Seems like a job for Arduino. MarshallArts may have some insight here.

I agree, Adruino seems like the best development platform for that. You can get small OLED displays for just a few bucks which could display tempo and/or ms. There may already be a "maker" style project out there that does it.

The guy over at electro smash does a lot with arduino and raspberry pi. Maybe he would have suggestions.

I'm happy to throw together some Arduino code if no one else has it done.
