422k resistor equivalent for Merman question

I can't find anyone who has a 422k 1/8 watt resistor in stock. Is it possible to use a 470k resistor instead? If not, is there an equivalent to use?

You can use either a 422k 1/4W resistor or a 390k+33k in series (1/8W or 1/4W).
