Title: Sola Sound Transistor question
Post by: ninemag on October 25, 2020, 05:43:05 AM
What's the deal with the colorful transistors in the DAM sola sound fuzzes? They have colorful leads- are they made that way, or are the leads soldered to the transistor and the cap covered for aesthetics?
Thanks!

Those are just 'spaghetti tubing' they slide over the three transistor leads.  Besides it being aesthetically cool, it helps prevent accidental shorting.  Google spaghetti transistor tubing for many more examples.
