Title: LETFA/El Guapo issues
Post by: rodgre on October 26, 2020, 11:21:58 AM
I just finished a LETFA/El Guapo over the weekend. It seems to work fine and bias okay, but I'm getting a sort of gated high-pitched squeal on attacks and decays. It's worse in some settings than others. I like the character of the fuzz but the squal noise makes it kind of unusable as is. So far, I have not boxed it up so it's possible it might be a shielding thing, but I wanted to reach out to you folks for advice before I shelve the circuit for another rainy day.

I will post transistor voltages tonight and see if that's telling.

Thank you
Roger

I am having the same issues.  All my solder points are good. Components all check out.  Transistors are in the right position.  I hook up my test box and all I get is noise.
