Post by: Bio77 on February 19, 2021, 05:37:26 PM
I've seen a few builds using these.  Can anyone recommend a good source?

I've not ordered them here but have ordered other things and wouldn.t hesitate to use them again.

I have some non-led ones i bought locally but haven't used yet.

+1 for adafruit.

You can also get them cheaper on eBay, with all the usual warnings that go with that.

Adafruit is great, everything they sell is decent quality. I have bought some arcade buttons on amazon and they seem to be fine as well.

There are a bunch of different kinds of arcade buttons actually. Some are more of a standalone switch, others are basically a plastic case with a microswitch underneath. There are also a few different mounting types and a bunch of different sizes, some are really tall, so make sure to take a look to see if it will work for the space you have in the enclosure. There could be some height concerns if you are using a shorter enclosure.

I just recently drilled out some 24mm holes in an enclosure which is the same size. Use a step bit, haha. It was not the most fun I had that day.
