Title: zener value for the Tractor beam V3 Switching board
Post by: Samson on March 27, 2021, 09:34:58 PM
I cant find nothing in the switching-board-build-doc about the zener for the Tractor beam. Can I use a 12 V?

V2 doc says it is a 16V. A 12V will work if you are just using 9V. Using a 16 is if you will be powering it with the max which is 15V. It for over voltage protection, so you can leave it off if you are not worried about it

It's 16V but 12V will work.

Thanks for clarification. So I can use 12 V zener (Ihave only 9 V on my board). In Germany (musikding or uk-electronic) it is hard to get 16V. 12 V, 15V or 18 V I can buy.  8)

My tractor beam is ready. But with humbuckers I have little, little gain on it. Is it normaly?  Or what can I do!

If they're hot, that's gonna happen in my experience.roll the volume back or use a compressor. Is it really bad?
