It feels like this must have happened...

Always forgetting something.

I always end up with 1/8w and 1/2w resistors when I wanted 1/4w

Happened to me once or twice, started really paying attention to the sizes. 1/8 are useful, 1/2 not so much.

To be honest, they haven't messed up any orders, yet. However, I do have an issue with them saying something has been shipped and then sit in Colorado for 7-10 days before it moves again. Almost every order has taken at least 18 days.

Smallbear - 7-10 days
Mouser - 3-4 days
Bean - 3-5 days
PedalPCB 7-10 days
GuitarPCB -5-7 day
Lovemyswitches 7-10 days
GuitarPedalParts - 7-10 days
Jameco - 5-7 days
Antique Electronics Supply 5-7 days
Amplified Parts 5-7 Days

It's not sitting in Colorado. They send the stuff from Thailand and it gets transferred over to USPS in Colorado.

I've had stuff show up from them in as little as 2 days and up to about 10-12 but never 18. I've never had anything wrong or bad either...yet

I recently received a non electronics related parcel that was sent via Airmail from New Caledonia to New Zealand. They managed to ship it first to France where it must have fallen off the conveyor belt and collected dust until it was too much in the way I think.
In the end it arrived here, oh miracle.

This is how I end up finishing so many at one time. I start something else while I wait.

The key to ordering from Tayda was to use spreadsheets and then meticulously note it down. I used to have an excel spreadsheets with every item that was on offer on Tayda that I could possible use to build pedals, with prices, so that I could create pedal parts list way before ordering them. To be honest, that was sometimes the most fun part anyway. And always order enough parts so you end up having shitloads of spares. Resistors always come in 10's, but caps I also ordered in 10's or 5's. Same with transistors and IC's. Eventually I would up with so many parts, if I forgot the odd part I could always finish it. Which was basically the best thing about ordering from Tayda. Creating stock on the cheap.

Their cart is wild and unpredictable sometimes... So you absolutely have to have a list of what you want, and then bang it all into the cart at once or you are asking for trouble

Aside from the weird postal shenanigans that started last year every time I've bought stuff from tayda showed up very quickly. In fact the only place that's ever gotten me something faster than that's a has without paying for expedited shipping is Love My Switches.

Not that I'd say they are better than anyone else, they are not. But their shipping is usually very prompt, and the issues with USPS are not their fault.

I build a cart while building a pedal. Add something to the basket if I'm running low or out.

I'm a little worried that small bear will never catch up from the shutdowns this time last year and the subsequent backlog. They used to be so so fast for me

I had a massive cart started with them and then 1 day it was just gone. Had to start all over. Very frustrating.

Great point. I've noticed my orders getting shipped roughly 7 days from when I placed the order.

Yeah, unfortunately Small Bear takes the longest out of any of them for me. Sucks because they have EVERYTHING.

Mouser is 1 day for me, Love My Switches is about 3-4 days, Tayda about a week.

Smallbear is taking about two weeks as of late.

I'm happy he's got the business though. They are really the only place that offer what they do. There's so many pedals that would be much harder to source parts for without them. Their shipping has never been fast for me, but I'd hate to loose that shop.

I use to fill the cart and write a note with all the components, and for every components the name of the project where I need it.
But since the cart of the Tayda is multi-page is very hard to read it, especially when you have 3, 4... 6... pages. It's hard to check if you have included the 10k resistor without check every page!

How much do you order? Or have they changed the layout? I never had multi page carts. Mind you, I never placed orders bigger then $40, from which I could build 2 pedals, because anything more meant Tayda would ship it in a box, instead of the envelope. And the envelope snuck through customs 99% of the time without getting slapped with import highway robbery. The box on the other hand, customs hell. It was cheaper for me to place 10 orders of $40 with separate shipping then it was to order one giant $400 order and get free shipping as it were. Strange world we live in.

Welp...Tayda just made me a big fat liar. 4 days from ordering to receiving. It's a Christmas miracle!

Over the seven orders placed I've had one damaged pot show up which they replaced and I waited for ...

Last order placed on the 31st of March and received today on 4/10 ... I suppose that isn't too bad. my main supplier before tayda was mammoth electronics and ordering from them was an expletive filled shit show.

Then again about all I'm ordering here lately are sub $20 orders to finish up small projects like classic fuzzes

I usually place orders around $40, too.
Since some months the web site layout is changed a bit: the log in form, the account page, the cart page, and some detail page... I visti the web site with my pc, with Win 7 and Ubuntu.
I can see just 20 items for page, and there's no any option to set the number of item for page.
Come on! Don't tell me that it's just me! :o

It's not just you. They changed the layout a while back. It's the same for me. It's a little bit annoying to be honest. I liked their old design way better.

I have another problem with Tayda new layout!
I put for mistake in the cart two brand of 10nF green cap (they have two very similar brand of the green caps), now I'm trying to remove one of those but updating the quantity item or the shopping cart don't work, I can't neither reduce the quantity.
I'm not going to place the order now, but I want to remove some items I don't need anymore, and I can't! >:(

I don't ever use Tayda but had a look see and when i looked at the cart there's a small trash can under the 'Subtotal' to delete the item from the cart, worked when i tried, went back and did  try changing the quantity to '0' and that worked as well.

Well, the thing worked after I tried to remove a different item, then every item edit or remove function has worked. It's strange, but at least now it works.

In my Country the registered mail was out because the covid, and after ten months it's been restore, but now it says that the time shipping is from 7 to 120 days! I usually received my order within 30 days before that.

Again i don't use them but when i went looking about shipping because of comments in another post, shipping to Canada was cited as 7 to 120 days.

When i did try them a few times years ago delivery was multiple weeks.
