Title: Phase45 Zener (1n5230)
Post by: Max on April 16, 2021, 12:25:54 PM
I'm planning to build a phase45 and I have a question about the zener between Vref (i.e. the source of the jfets) and ground: in one schematic it's marked as 1n5230, which has 4.7V per datasheet, while in another it's loosely marked as 5.1V.
I don't expect this to make a big difference, but you never know. At least I don't  ;D
Since I can find a 4.7V zener, but a 5.1V is currently unavailable (and Musikding doesn't even list a 1n5230), what would you suggest?
Thanks,
Max.

The 1N5230 is a 4.7V zener diode.  I've looked at three different schematics and they all list the zener diode at 4.7v   4.7v is what you want.
