Title: mids mod for mudbunny?
Post by: thesameage on May 24, 2021, 03:23:38 PM
Just resurfacing this from a mods thread that might be getting lost: https://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=14898.0

I'm working on bringing an old muff back to life and would like to add a permanent mids boost mod. Referring to the image below, can I just put a 10nf cap on C10 to achieve this? Can I just solder the legs of a 10nf cap to the legs of the 3.9nf that is there? Or is there another way I want to go about this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, paralell connecting of capacitors will add up their values. So, one left in PCB, and second add with normal switch. See pictures I attached. That resistor 1M8 (or similar huge value) just avoids click too much, but you don't need to use it.

Thanks Zerro! So, it seems like I should be fine just adding a 10n to the legs of the 3n9. I'd rather not put another switch in here as the pedal already has a lot going on (blend and diode switch)-- and i think I'll only be playing it with the mid-boost.
