I've done much research and this is my conclusion. Is this the proper way to implement jfet clipping in a rat circuit?

They will need to go to ground.

Ive seen it where D and S were together and G was the other side

Ah yeah, I see what you're saying. I was thinking mosfet and looking at mosfet diagrams, but I put jfets in. I'll have to go back and fix that.
