Hello, my first post here!

I built a Slow Loris but can't seem to find 2n5457 or 2n5458 at any local store... anyone used j201?

Haven't tried one, but since Q1 is just functioning as a buffer I can't imagine you'd have any trouble.  Socket it and give it a shot!

ooops! I said it was my first post but it wasn't... I don't remember i've post here before... maybe i'm getting old... ;D

Thanks for the reply. I socketed the j201 and it sounds good to my ears but i would like to know other opinions since i have no other trannie to compare...

Hmm. I was wondering the same thing. I had built a rat on vero and didn't have the 2n5458, so I socketed it and used a 2n5457. Sounds good. I guess I'll swap it eventually, though.  I always forget something!
