Title: Aquaboy DLX Optocoupler Sub
Post by: in8241 on May 29, 2022, 07:35:09 AM
Would an xvive VTL5C3 work with the Aquaboy DLX? Having trouble sourcing 9203 LDRs.

Yeah, the aquaboy deluxe 2015 used the vlt5c3. Make sure it fits if it's on the new layout as that board wasn't designed with the vactrol in mind.

pcb says 2019, document calls for led + 9302. Looking at spec sheets VTL5C3 looks close to 9203, and it might be tight on the board, I'll order one and see if I can fit it in.

Jameco has the 9203s.  Might be worth ordering a few, they get used in other projects.

The 9203 is suggested, but even the generic Tayda ones may work fine here. It's not exactly precision modulation.

I ended up buying a dozen 9203's from jameco, works great in the circuit, theres build pics in the build section
