Title: Sabertooth v.4 (2011!!) - wiring
Post by: Strategy on August 16, 2022, 12:15:23 AM
Hi anyone who can help, I dug a half built project from the very bottom of a project bin - Sabertooth V4. (build doc dated 2011!!) -- the PDF has no wiring diagram, anyone have clues as to the switching and LED wiring on this one?
thank you!

Huh, don't know why there wasn't a wiring diagram for that one. The v3 had one. Anyway, you can follow the v3 diagram. Some of the parts locations are slightly different but the labeling b/w v3 and v4 is exactly the same. Of course, you can exclude the battery wiring if not using one.

Hey Madbean! Been a while since I worked on one of your wiring diagrams and can't remember some of the labeling + conventions.
J1 is output right? and J2 input?
The LED - cathode is the square pad facing the SW pad right?
Thank you again!

In this case, yeah. Kinda the complete opposite of how I label things now.
