Title: Looking for a Plexi OD project
Post by: HalfLife on September 17, 2022, 01:56:00 PM
I'm looking for a Plexi OD project - similar to the Anasounds High Voltage.
Universally the Anasounds pedal seems to be the 'go to' for the proper Plexi sound, without mudding the lowers or distortion.

Gift project for upcoming Xmas gift.

Yes- the recipient is a huge AC/DC fan.

Any suggestions on similar quality builds are welcome.

The closest I've come yet, I think, is the Golden Falk project over at PedalPCB.com.  It has the Bright and Normal volumes in a pre-jumpered config.  A toggle voices it for a 1987, a 1959 Super Lead, or a JTM.

Also noteworth is Aion's Gale, which is the preamp/limiter section from the Shaffer-Vega Diversity wireless system that Angus used not only live, but in the studio to recreate the live sound from the mid 70's and on.

I've made several Boneyards for people who run them into JCMs for whatever reason and I've only heard positive things back.

I built it and use it as a last pedal in front of my HotRodDeluxe. Only a few DIY pedals here and there stay on my pedal board, this is one of them.

There's a reason for that - it's a Wamp*** Plexidrive clone.
