Title: Archibald squealing like a tea kettle in the distance.

Something is in the wrong place maybe? We need close clear well lit pics of both sides. Have you checked all your components are the right value in the right places?

It had something to do with the power supply I was using.

Switched to a different one and the squeal was gone!
