Title: Zen Lavache
Post by: jtn191 on January 03, 2012, 01:57:18 PM
Here's my 6th build, a Lavache. I wanted to go with a Tweed Finish, but that'll be another build  8)
Instead, I went with the primer I'd used before--gives ya a smooth flat, chalky white finish. The diodes I used were BAT41s and an 1N34. I also went with the 2N3565 tranny and the 100-ohm-for-R4-extra-gain-mod in hopes of catching that crazy Neil Young/Funk #49/Stones tone. Top Mounted Jacks for saving pedalboard space. White LED for Indicator, Red LED for Boost. Hoping to finish another build soon...but I gotta catch up on sleep. My friends and I will hit the studio soon--expect some exciting demos  :)

Clean and simple, I like it and I like the knobs. I went with the same diodes and tranny. I didn't do the extra gain mod. Have you had a chance to use the pedal? I'd like a bit more gain on tap to get a little grittier like NY.
