Title: Loyalist - dual op-amp spec
Post by: jessenator on July 14, 2023, 07:49:21 PM
Hey hey, Storyboardist!

Just a quick clarification regarding the morning glory side of the Loyalist: is there a reason to pick the LM833N over a TL072 or 4558D in this build other than that's what was in the original?

I have it socketed, ofc, but figured I'd ask all the same.

Thanks

Input impedance?
5532 is a good sub for 833 iirc

Isn't a morning glory a modified BluesBreaker? If there's something on the mods front, maybe it does need it. IDK, I'll wait and see what Storyboardist says. I'm sure I've got at least one 5532 hanging around, but I have loads of TL072s and 4558Ds  :P

Nope. Just what was in the original MG. Should work with any of the usual suspects, but it does sound very good with 833.
