Title: Tappy (taplfo) outputs question
Post by: focusbob on September 28, 2023, 10:25:41 PM
Hi! I bought a tappy pcb in hopes of producing an alternative to pedals like the TWA sidestep or copilot Broadcast - that is, an lfo that I can plug into the expression/cv input of other pedals. But, after reading the documentation for the tappy, I'm not sure whether it works in the way I was hoping. Does it? Does it output cv out of one or more of its possible outputs? If so, in what range? Thanks!

The VCO output on the Tappy will output a 0-5vDC CV. If you need a larger voltage range, you'd need to come up with some kind of voltage multiplier, I think. Maybe with a transistor run off a higher voltage?

Thanks!
So, what are the other outputs outputting?

Thanks!

All the outputs are indentical but implemented in different ways. One drives an LED to use an external LDR and the other drives an LDR to drive an external variable resistor. The idea here was to make several output options available to be adaptable to different applications.
