Hi all,
I am starting to add parts for the Cosmo to what is turning out to be my biggest SB order yet!
One question--the BOM calls for a 1n5817 diode, but I'm only able to find 1n5818s at SB. Would this be a part sub that would be okay? I haven't been able to turn up 1n5817s at Mammoth or PPP either.
Thanks,
Bret
Mouser has them. It's where I got mine.

You can sub lots of diodes for that part. I think I used a BAT46, but I think I read a long time ago of Marc using a germanium diode for that position. Looking at the datasheet, the 1n5818 would be fine, slightly higher forward voltage drop.
Thanks guys...I think I will start with the 1n5818 and maybe even socket it to try a couple of others.
