Title: Tone Virus 4017: Number of circuits?
Post by: Martan on January 04, 2024, 06:26:41 PM
Hey all,

I'm putting together a mouser cart with some parts for the Tone Virus. The 4017 chip is available with different numbers of circuits and inverting vs Inverting/non-inverting. The Small Bear page linked in the build doc doesn't have details on the type they are selling. Anyone know the correct 4017 version for hte Tone Virus?

Thanks

You're looking for the decade counter (CD4017), not the flip-flop (CD40174, CD40175, etc).  In Mouser, the TI CD4017BE is equivalent to the Small Bear through-hole part.
