Title: Cannot Post in Beginners Area
Post by: Garagelandfx on January 04, 2025, 04:59:32 AM
Hey guys, New to the forum. I am trying to post a question in the beginner's section, but when I click the link to enter, the site shows that I am not logged in, so I do not get any of the controls to post a new topic or anything like that. Is that happening to anyone else? I am not sure where else to post this.

Title: The Ethics of DIY Audio Modifications**.
Post by: Richard1201 on January 20, 2025, 06:41:39 PM
Hi!) Is it acceptable to modify audio equipment for personal use, even if it may potentially void warranties or infringe on intellectual property rights? How do we balance the joy of DIY ingenuity with respect for the creators and manufacturers of the original products? What guidelines should be followed to ensure that our modifications remain ethical and responsible?

The easiest answer is, give credit where credit is due. The circuits can't be copy written, just the graphics and layouts. Don't say you came up with it or it was your idea. It's acceptable to modify anything you want, and as diyers, we do.
