Title: Dirtbag Round Two
Post by: tenwatt on January 16, 2012, 01:15:29 AM
My Dirtbag is still whining/squealing when I turn the "Volume" and "Delay" both around noon and up.  Also, the repeats have a little bit of white noise in them.  It's NOT a distortion.  It's just a LITTLE bit of static.  I REALLY need to get this thing wrapped up.

It's all fabbed but the jacks and footswitch.  I've bolted the pots into and enclosure and the hot, ground, input and output are all hooked to my testing rig.

It should stop once everything is in the enclosure and shielded via the enclosure.  I've always heard what your describing with out of the enclosure testing on BBD delays.

Josh

EDIT: I'm talking about the whining/squealing...

The white noise is normal, unfortunately. If you go back to the thread where I gave my results on tracing the Memory Boy, it has the same exact noise with longer delay times. Even with a different BBD type.
