Title: Uproar Question, I just want it stock in a 1590B
Post by: guycapuano on January 31, 2012, 04:07:49 AM
So I just want to build the Uproar to stock specs, jsut the clip switch, so that I can fit this in a 1590B which I assume is possible. SO do I jsut jumper the presence switch or do I have to use it?
Also would a C5K pot work for the tone knob or should I just do a C10K which I dont have a pcb mount on hand?

Thanks

Yes it's likely you can fit it into a 1590B.

I'm not sure about the presence switch issue.

I would go with the stock values for pots personally, however if you don't have the correct pot on hand you can try using a substitute. Who knows - it might sound great.

I have mine in a 1590b with both switches and all three pots.  I used madbean's 125b layout scaled down and ditched the battery to make room for the switch and jacks.  If you move the switches to the sides of the enclosure and put them to either side of the lower pot under the PCB everything will probably fit and leave room for a battery too.  I find all of the switching mods really useful because I use different guitars and it helps to tailor the EQ for my '84 Roadstar II with ceramic mag humbuckers vs. my Tele.

Don't jumper the presence switch. Just leave it out for stock response.
