Title: Dual positive ground fuzz with Road Rages
Post by: CurlyMo on February 02, 2012, 02:06:34 PM
Will this layout work for my dual fuzz that I am building including a Bumblee Bee and a Mangler? Both using a Road Rage for negative ground power supply...

Why not just use one road rage and power both with the -9V output.  One road rage will have enough mA's for those.

They already have one connected each so that I could test the boards individually...which I have not had time to do yet, but that was the idea.

two road rage board are not necessary, but the 1044 chip does perform better when operated at lower output current (lower output ripple). I don't know if the results could be heard audibly, though.

other then that, the basic layout seems fine to me.

Thanks for the confirmation of the layout and the info concerning the RR boards. I'll keep the RR info in mind for when I start my Mangler/Rangemaster dual box.
