Title: Dirtbag Won't Rock Now That It's Boxed
Post by: tenwatt on February 09, 2012, 02:34:24 AM
Worked on my testing rig but now it won't.  I'm only getting the bypassed signal.

Also, the LED isn't even lighting up...

You need to ground both the input and output jacks. The plastic encased ones do not ground to the enclosure like the metal framed ones.

Awesome!  I hope it's that simple.

Perfect.  It works now.  My LED still won't light.  It's weird.  When I pull the AC adapter from the socket of the jack on the pedal the LED flashes once.  Kinda strange.

Also, now that the circuit has been boxed it seems to need to be biased again.  There's a LOT more distortion than there was before it was boxed.  Is that typical?

Try engaging the switch an use your multimeter to read the cathode and anode pins of the LED. What do you get when it's supposed to be on?
