Title: Weener Wah switch wiring help.
Post by: Cliff on February 09, 2012, 11:17:18 PM
I'm a little confused on how to wire up a 3PDT switch to the weener wah (without an LED), does anyone have a diagram or something? I see on one persons picture they've soldered a resistor to two poles on 3PDT switch?

This is my second build, first was a poindexter and I got that running fine. Just a little intimidated by the switch wiring on this one.

Essentially the wiring is the same as you'd do on any other effect EXCEPT that you don't include the wire for an LED. Just leave that out and wire it up the same as you usually would.

Thanks Jacob, what about the grounds for the in/out coming from the pcb, do they get grounded to the in/out jacks?

Not sure what you mean, but all grounds need to be connected together in some way. Many times, you only need to use a wire on one jack because the other will connect to ground through the enclosure.

However, both jacks still need to be grounded, as does the PCB, any DC Jacks you use, and the switch.
