Title: Weener Wah: HELP
Post by: kinski on February 10, 2012, 07:09:14 AM
Man, I've been having bad luck with a number of my builds recently.

Cant get the Weener Wah to work right. Heel down to heel up, its all muffled sounding. I used the frequency pot, and also tried a 15n cap in its place. Same thing.

Any ideas?

Q1: 0.02v/0.58v/7.34v
Q2: 7.96v/4.8v/6.16v
Q3: 8.58v/0.82v/0.0v

in some ways, debugging stuff that "almost works" is hard than stuff that doesn't work at all. I would try tracing the circuit out with a probe. Other then that, the source of Q3 looks funny because it's at 0v, check to make sure there's no solder bridge to ground.

Voltages look way off to me. What transistors are you using?

Hmmm...I used the stock transistors.

How should the legs of the 2N3565 be layed out for Q1?

Got it to work! I had the Whipple upside down! I saw the word Whipple on the pcb so I just assumed that the top pin went there.

This thing sounds awesome! WHOA!   :o ;D
