Title: Wolfshirt Capacitor Question
Post by: pryde on February 12, 2012, 12:00:23 AM
So I apparently ordered a 630v 47n cap on accident for C11 in my wolfshirt build. Obviously wy to big to fit so...

I found a .047mf ceramic (or mylar labelled 473M on it) cap in my bin. Is this ok or should I get a better poly-film cap at my local RS or order one?

Thanks for the advice

I used 15nf in mine.

More mids.

Cool. I will use what I got then.

So changing the value of C11 will give the pedal more mids? I have a .022mf on hand as well. Should I put it in instead of the .047 if looking for more mids?

Thanks for the help!

Actually, i modded the FTM clone i built to a ultimate octave and played with different values there. I ended with a 15nf. You could socket this and then try whatever value you want depending on what you're searchin: fuzz or octave. I don't care that much for the FTM fuzz.

If you just want to close the box and forget about it, 22nf should be just fine.
