Title: Knob issues......
Post by: DutchMF on February 22, 2012, 07:30:37 PM
Hey guys,

While I was working on the drilling template for my next build, a Pork Barrel, I encountered a small problem. I bought some really nice cream chickenheads, but while measuring everything, I noticed they would not be able to rotate completely because the board-mounted pots are quite close together. Thinking outside the box I came up with a plan: mount 1 pot to the board, move the board left (or right) a bit, and connect the other pot with some wire. But....... will my board stay in place hanging on only one pot? I need this stuff to be secure, cause my pedalboard takes some abuse, loading in and out of the car, rolling over pavement etc.
Is this a viable work-around or should I take my loss and use some other knobs?

Paul

You can always support the board with some foam. I would do it that way so you can have the look you really want!

BTW: that was really fast, what time is it where you are? Here (Holland) it's almost 9 in the evening, I'll be in bed in hour and a half, got to get up at 5:30, bummer......
