Title: Wilson Freaker Wah
Post by: MikeM on February 23, 2012, 10:44:41 PM
Hey guys

I found a post about the Wilson Freaker somewhere on here a few days ago, but for the life of me can not find it again.

Anycase to the point.. I am going to build a Weener Wah, and was wondering if there are any tweaks I could make to get it to respond a bit more like the Freaker, i.e very long and smooth range, particularly the solid, deep bass side. Really digging it.

Thanks guys
Mike

hi mike, i mentioned a wilson wah a few days ago, but not the freaker. the freaker is based on the tychobrae parapedal ( now made by chicago iron ). this is an opamp design, and uses a dual gang pot. the circuit topology is way different than the weener.

you can get deep bass with the weener, but overall, the freaker is coming from a different place.
