Title: Odd problem with Egodriver
Post by: waynerd on March 06, 2012, 02:38:00 AM
Hi gang!

I just built an egodriver. It seems to be working fine but when I use the LED clipping only one of the LEDs light up. It's odd because it sounds fine. I would think that if one of the LEDs were bad it would sound bad and it will have low volume. Any thoughts?

LED's light up depending on how hard you play through them, and some don't light up much at all. It's possible that they are both lighting, just not strongly because you're not hitting them with a lot of signal.

You mention finding that it sounds fine. If that's the case, I wouldn't worry about it.

I should also not that LED clipping will likely be louder than your other setting.

Thanks, Jacob.

I'm not worried about. It sounds just fine. I'm enjoying the pedal.

UPDATE-
I miswired the LEDs. After I corrected it, both LEDs are lighting. I'm really surprised I couldn't tell by listening to it that there was a problem. I was playing at a very low volume and hope it's the reason I couldn't hear the problem. I would hate to think my keen ears are failing me.
