Title: Caps in parallel question
Post by: TNblueshawk on March 06, 2012, 06:27:54 PM
If I looking to get to an oddball cap value, putting them in parallel is addiditve right? So, I would simply shove the cap through the holes on the PCB one way, spin the board around shove the other cap through the same holes the other way (assuming it will fit that way) and solder and clip, right?

Yup, you can do that, add in parallel, divide in series. Resistors work vice versa.

Thanks. I'm used to making res teepee's but not caps.

Resistor teepee's? Oh man, been doing that for awhile. I almost did a "threepee" once but it was too tall  ;D But it is great for that odd value in resistor you don't have. Sticks up about as much as a cap.

No, I was agree with you about a "cap-teepee"
