Can anybody tell me what is a Timmy Board?
I'm Italian, you known, we do it better but we don't understand everything!  ;D

The TIM and Timmy are not boards you can find a lot of info about in the DIY world.  The builder (Paul Cochrane) is a VERY nice guy and cares a LOT about his product.  He really frowns on anyone making their own builds based off his.

You can buy them directly from him but there IS a waiting list.  The price makes it WELL worth it though.  I've bought one of each directly from Paul and have regretted getting rid of them.  I would HIGHLY suggest just buying one from Paul before you try to build your own.

What kind of effect? Overdrive? ???

Both pretty standard op-amp-with-soft-clipping overdrives.  Do a search here, you'll find some approximate circuits almost immediately.

Paul showed up in a thread over at BYOC and if I recall right he didn't mind if you did his layout just to build for youself and yourself only, but not to sell at all. I'll try to locate that thread so you can read it for yourself in his own words.
