Title: Anybody dealt with Griffin effects
Post by: sgmezei on March 28, 2012, 04:35:45 PM
Hey folks. I had a friend of a friend of a friend ask me to mod his NF1 Boss noise gate to a slow gear with a mod kit from Griffin Effects. Has anybody dealt with these folks:

Honestly, if the kit is $45 plus shipping and I charge him $15 for my time I don't really want to do it. It involves cutting traces and says it is an "advanced" mod. I really just want to tell him to get a BYOC slow gear clone for $75.

Opinions?

I agree. Get the kit to build an actual Slow Gear clone rather than mod another pedal.

Mod packages for $45 bucks seems silly to me...
