Title: True grit (Boomstick)
Post by: tagwap on March 30, 2012, 12:37:51 PM
Boomstick: Loved the film 'true grit' by the coen brothers so wanted to pay homage. Note the carefully relic-ed enclosure! (thanks again to brian for all his hard work and generosity in letting us etch these and for Haberdasher for a brilliant friendly service and excellently etched pcbs)

Fantastic.  The spent casing on the switch is a great touch.

It's a genuine spent bullet casing hacksawn to the right height to allow the switch to press down and then just glued on. Perfect fit. :-)

Nice work!  Love the bullet casing.

I haven't seen the Coen Brothers version of True Grit but I was a fan of the older John Wayne movie.  I'll have to check it out some time soon.

Haha! Sorry to disappoint but I'm English! Army surplus stall on a market! ;-)
(Although as a farmer I do have access to shotgun cartridges and .22 caliber bullets.)
