Title: Current Draw for Serendipity
Post by: carbonfreeze on September 21, 2010, 06:30:40 PM
What's the current draw for the Serendipity. I built one for a friend, and he's rearranging some stuff on his power supply and asked.

Don't know exactly, but I would guess in the 15-20ma region. Pretty low.

mine is drawing 8ma with a brown burr opa2134pa op amp which I heard is high draw.

this is without an led too. I imagine depending on the op amp it might even be less draw than that.

I was thinking more in terms of the 4558 for op-amp, and LED, of course. Still, 15ma might be too high of a guess.

Thanks for the responses guys. I only have sort of an idea why this would matter, but he said thanks for the info. I feel kind of stupid putting these things together and getting all involved in pedal building and not knowing the reason or answer there.
