Title: Running shit at 15v or whatever from a charge pump
Post by: LaceSensor on April 26, 2012, 02:48:20 PM
HI

I have a few road rage boards, and a few maxx 1044 chips.
Can I use these to power:

mn3007 pork barrel
mn3007 current lover
mn3005 dirtbag
warhead univibe

Or do I need another type of chip.

yes on the pb and cl I think (not 100% sure), but
you should use lt1054 for the db and wh because it's able to provide the increased current those 2 circuits need.  iirc pinout for the 1054 is slightly different but it's an easy fix using a socket.

Cool thats what I thought was the case, but good to confirm.
Ive ordered some LT1054 from Futurlec.

I'd also say probably fine using just MAX with the Pork Barrel & Current Lover although if you experience any funny behaviour, obviously switch to an LT1054.

The WarHead, I think some people find a LT1054 doesn't deliver the current and two in parallel might be necessary.
