Title: Grey (or Green?) Serendipity Build
Post by: frankie5fingers on April 30, 2012, 05:41:18 PM
Just finished - sounds great, almost perfect. I've replaced in the input cap with a 220n, and C3 with the same for a more commanding bass response; it hangs with a vintage Bluesbbreaker in that regard now.  I have an OPA2604 for the IC - I tried an OPA2134 and JRC4558.  Found the 2134 a little too "thin" and the 4558 a little too raspy - but both still pleasant.  The 2604 just edged them out IMO.  Bought the case from another member - it was already drilled so ... little aluminum knobs, and I used the big 'un for the Drive pot.  Again, thanks to the folks that patiently replied to my questions.  It's a great pedal, the smoothest OD I've ever played.

Glad the enclosure worked out. I like what you did with it, looks cool.
