Title: Shielded wire source
Post by: r4ndy on May 04, 2012, 11:07:23 PM
I am ready to wire up my V2 pork barrel and realized I need some shielded wire. Any suggestions what to use and where to source? I did not see any at smallbear or PPP and struck out at a few local hardware stores.

Thanks

Why do you feel like you need shielded wire?  This circuit doesn't really amplify low-level noise.

I didn't use it in mah park barrel and I don't have a problem with noise.
But to answer your question you can use RG-174.  smallbear used to stock it, not sure if they still do.  you can probably find it on ebay as well.

I didn't bother with shielded wire in my Chunk, and I don't have any noise issues. (I have playing incompetency issues, but that's a whole 'nother can of worms...)

Thanks for the info. Smallbear does carry rg-174, but it does not come up if you search 174; only if you search rg  >:(
