Title: PCB WIRING
Post by: mixermantim on May 28, 2012, 04:46:32 AM
I am about to start wiring my pcb slambox.  I am very new to making pedals.  How can you tell what side to wire the pot, 9 v power supply so on.  I am not really sure what side all of these wires attach to.

Thanks..

Have you seen the MadBean Standard Wiring Diagram (http://www.madbeanpedals.com/tutorials/downloads/StandardWiring_MBP.pdf)?

The standard wiring diagram will save you a to of headaches. Also coming from someone who just finished their first build, I would seriously consider using electrical tape on the pots and the back on the pcb. My first build had issues when I boxed it because of the pots making contact with the pcb. Good to ask to many questions I think.

I highly recommend these boards to simplify the wiring:

Wiring the 3PDT correctly is probably the most confusing part of the build to a beginner.  Those boards make it almost a no-brainer 8)
