jon, you need to get a family shot of all those 1590as!
I think I might have a problem :D. In roughly the order the were built and boxed in. Or will be built in!

Left to right, top to bottom: Rangemaster, Lavache, Fallstaff (perf), Afterlife, Cave Dweller, Hipster, Orange Squeezer (perf), Fatpants, Llama (perf), ROG Improved EA Trem (perf), amp swtich, Cave Dweller #2, Afterlife #2, Pepperspray (perf), Smoothie, Clipper Ship (perf), ....... Fatpants #2, Afterlife #3, ??
Major thanks to Brian for so many great projects and for the members of this forum for showing that so many projects can go in mini enclosures even when they're not *made* to. I liked 1590As before I found this place and this hobby six months ago. But I doubt I ever would have built any mini pedals without this site.
Things I'd really like to add to the collection: an envelope filter (probably Nurse Quacky - I've got it planned out, just haven't soldered the board yet), Solderman's "Worlds Smallest Flanger" -- I've chickened out so far, but Keefe is willing to etch the board -- a lightwah minus the external LDR and manual control, and of course I'm sure I'll want more of the baby boards when they're released ...
I think the clipper ship is my favourite artwork.

feelin the 1590A ♥ :-*
great artwork, they look very cool together... can you gig a full baby board?
Wow, that is great!
I've built two 1590A and they are a lot of fun. I hope I don't get it nearly as bad as you. ;D
Whoa, that's a lot!
I'm about to box my first 1590A when I return from vacation, a Cupcake board. Coincidentally, the Clementine and Nature Dweller are my favorite artworks of yours and I'm building both now (Dweller going in a B size though).
Crazy dude; but I like it ;D
My favourite is the one with the trees and woods on it (black background). Thats way cool.
Thanks guys. These were certainly a lot of fun (though at times also little frustrating fitting things for sure) and rewarding to build.
If there's a more efficient way to practice hand painting than building these, I don't want to know what it is!

Almost. I could easily go with Orange Squeezer > Fallstaff > Lavache > Tremolo (or use my amp's) > Nature Dweller, but I would really miss having a volume pedal and the tap tempo and loop on my El Capistan. I'd also kind of miss my Malekko 616. If I can just figure out how to fit a Deluxe Memory Man in a 1590A, I'll truly be set. :D
Thats a lot of work on display there! My favourite is also the clipper ship. Can't wait to hear a demo of it!
yikes thats a lot of 1590a's!
Wow these look so cool man!! I love those tiny boxes...I need to build me some baby boards soon!

You might fit one in... with a bit of effort ;D

No wonder Tayda is always sold out of those enclosures.... ;D
Killer work bro! Been enjoying your build reports along the way!
awesome!!!!!!
looking good. nice family there!
I think madbean did a Zombii (fuzz factory) in a 1590a box at some point. Need to add that to the family as well ;)

I thought the FF was positive ground. I guess I can use a PNP silicon to use NPN germaniums? I haven't looked into it much since the FF isn't too high on my list of circuits to build, and 5 knobs ... well, let's just say I'm generally opposed to side-mounted pots, and it's not really the sort of thing you can just omit knobs from.
I do know others have fit 5-knob builds in 1590As, though. Someone did a Trem Lune (I might take on this challenge myself sometime, since it's one of my favorite circuits), for example.
Yes the trem lune would be very cool in a small package. Yah the FF would have knobs coming out everywhere for sure. It does get some pretty righteous, classic fuzz tones though along with all the wacky other stuff it does.
