Post by: teknoman2 on July 23, 2012, 11:44:17 AM
Did anyone built any 7 or 10 band equalizer?

Like boss GE-7 or MXR 108 ?

I am thinking building one but I cant find any pcb layoutsor any infos.

Thanx in advance.

I built a BYOC kit a long time ago. Found it noisy, and I really wanted a boost more than an eq.

I suggest looking into a parametric eq more than a graphic type.

I want any type of eq to make sound changes easily.

You can try the Sabrotone 5 band, although I built it twice, neither of which worked. Or he also has a parametric which Im finding to be a better eq option. These are both vero layouts.

I bought a used Boss GE-7 and bought the Monte Allums mod for it.  It really quieted that pedal down.  It's probably my favorite pedal now.

runoffgroove (http://www.runoffgroove.com/articles.html) has a couple of EQ projects... namely the "MrEQ" and the "Tonemender", tho both have fewer controls than what you may be looking for
