Title: King of GOaT! For Sale!
Post by: GrindCustoms on August 20, 2012, 04:09:27 AM
CJ's Game of Tones, à la deux!

So it's the high gain going through the low gain OD configuration.
The low gain does'nt have the 1N914 diodes and no switch, just a jumper and is built all stock.
High gain have a 250K gain pot and trimpot to adjust the gain aswell on board, it's currently set at 17k.
1N914 are installed, even if lower volume is achieve with this setting, when running through the low gain od...., it's just MONSTROUS!

This is seriously the best sounding OD that i've built to date, finally an OD that i will use as an overdrive! lol

That's a cool finish. Is it just really really thick paint?

Good to know it sounds good, too. I found the original a little uninspiring.

For this finish, that i call «grindworn» (did many of these to date), is a mix of grinding, cutting wheel, drum sanding and finally paint.....

Wich original are you talking about, the KOT?

That finish is amazing.  Looks like worn leather or the cover for some beautiful amps.  Sick stuff.

Awesome looking pedal.   8)
Might have to stump up the courage to take my grinder to an enclosure like that one day!

Haha, i'm covering the whole animal kingdom! Elephant hide also came in mind of another forum member at BYOC.

But don't be scared to put the grinder at it, i use my dremel with the cutting wheels and sanding drums.

Safety glasses, gloves and you're good to go! ;)
