Hello Madbeaners,
I wanna share my lastest build.
It's my take for the Colorsound Overdriver with Madbean's board
Gorgeous layout I wanted to populate with lots of Mojo:
Mallory and Roederstein MKT film caps, carbon comp resistors from Banzai
It sound really great with 2n3565 trannies
I made a mistake with my drilling template and didn't let so much space between the DC jack and the board. I bent the legs of the DC jack to make it fit !!!
I just had 3 cream knobs left so I started mixing colors with 2 cream and 2 black knobs before placing next order...
Actually I think it will remain that way. I like having the EQ controls in one color and the Gain/Vol in another

It just a raw enclosure from Banzai and some spray can paint and clear coat.

Sorry guys. I don't have anything to record myself playing.
But believe me, it sounds great ;)
Another great job! You must have a nice collection of these now. A group picture in the works?

Thank you !
I'm trying to make my pedal board all DIY (except for the tuner and volume pedal).
I'll take a family picture soon ;)
Sorry to resurrect this topic, but has anyone else made one of these? I'd like to hear it, if so.
The Overdrive is the same thing as the original Powerboost ?
By the power of greyskull!
amazing looking.

I believe the original Overdriver was a 9v version of the original 18v Power Boost, but the sound is basically the same. The circuit is too, apart from one resistor that is connected differently and some part values. Don't expect a Tube Screamer style soft overdrive though. It's more like a clean(ish) boost that suddenly turns into a fuzz at the end of the gain dial. I like it to turn an overdriven amp into a MONSTER.
