Title: neutrino radio pickup
Post by: eniacmike on November 11, 2010, 10:17:32 PM
I built up my neutrino to the burst specs. I am getting radio stations when the tone knob is all the way up it goes away if I turn it down. even with not guitar or cable plugged in I am still getting radio interference.

I used topmay box caps for c4 and c5, metal film resistors, silver mica cap for c2.

I am also thinking about swapping out the gain pot for something bigger because the amount of gain while it's all usable I feel like it doesn't get all the way there. probably 500kb or 250kb.

I went ahead and boxed it up anyway and the radio pickup stopped once I threw it in an enclosure.

Not surprised as the enclosure probably gave you a little extra shielding. In the future, you can also try adding a 47pf ceramic from signal to ground at the FX input to roll off some RF.

yeah i am still getting a little bit of radio when the volume and tone are cranked so I will try to add that cap. I will probably just piggy back it on the pulldown resistor, or maybe throw it on the switch.
