Title: harmonic percolator basics
Post by: 9Lives on September 14, 2012, 02:11:27 PM
I need for some one to break this circuit down to idiots terms for me. I know that it's a feedback circuit with clipping diodes. But does this count as a push and pull set up?

My understanding is it's more of a single-ended amplifier, i.e. "class a" rather than an A-B, push-pull kind of setup. I'm not able to verify that myself though! Albini says it on those famous clips. Hopefully someone more knowledgable than me can provide guidance!

I still haven't tried it with the recommended transistors. I'm currently using some 2n1309 pnp I got from jack orman bc they are super low leakage and se4010 dot package I got a while back.
