Title: Help with 1590A cupcake
Post by: murdog47 on September 18, 2012, 11:37:35 PM
Getting no signal from my 1590a cupcake. When I hook it up through my testing rig it's fine, so I think it has something to do with the jacks.  These are the Neutrik jacks from Mouser that Brian recommended in the baby build guide.

Looks like you have your input jack wired to the wrong row of lugs. One row is lifted when a plug is inserted and serve as dummy contacts (extra soldering pins). Insert a jack and audio probe the two rows of pins...one should have signal and one does not.

Right you are! Thanks! This is the first time using these jacks and I didn't know how they worked. I do now  ;D
