Title: Snarkdoodle Red Llama specs, needs jumper not in spec
Post by: trickpony on September 19, 2012, 11:41:47 PM
Note when making the Red Llama, you need to the left and middle boost pads or it will not work.
(Brian said it first, but it's kinda hidden in the forums)

Thanks,
Ben

Has anyone built the newest version of snarkdoodle with Red Llama specs?
I built it and messed around with crazy stuff until I realized that I had to jumper the boost pad (1,2),
but now I am getting crazy loud gain. I saw that someone posted this problem about a year ago with no resolution at the time.  When I say crazy, I mean it goes from 0 to unity in about a 5% of travel and then will blow my amp at probably 30%.  The pot I have is 10kA per the spec.

Thanks,
Ben

It's a loud pedal ... mine's at unity with no gain at 10:00. When they call it an overdrive, they're not kidding. It's meant to kick your amp in the, uh, tubes.

WOW! Thank you. I have been killing myself trying to figure out why I couldn't get it to work.

Mine for some reason isn't loud at all, any suggestions on where to look for this type of problem?
The pedal sounds great, just not loud.

thanks
